Before Clemens Jungsthöfel took over as Chief Executive Officer of Hannover Re, he had been Chief Financial Officer of Hannover Re since 2020.

During his time as Chief Financial Officer, he made a significant contribution to Hannover Re's strategic orientation and the company's strong financial strength, profitability and resilience in a challenging market environment.

For Clemens Jungsthöfel, both an appreciative corporate culture and a balance between long-term partnerships and disciplined underwriting are crucial for sustainable business success.

Before joining Hannover Re, he was Chief Financial Officer of HDI Global from 2018 to 2020. Prior to 2018, he was a partner at the auditing and consulting firm KPMG, where he exclusively advised primary insurance and reinsurance companies.

He is an auditor, tax consultant and qualified insurance agent.
